With Covid-19, we have all had to adapt, and quickly. Businesses have had to adapt even quicker than in any other year. From social distancing to singing happy birthday while washing our hands, wearing face masks and continually being in lockdown, this has been an everchanging and challenging 12 months. But one change that looks like it could continue, after this is over, is an increase in home and flexible working.

According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), from April 2020, 49.2% of the UK’s workers became home-based. We certainly know what this is like. Our office staff are on a rota base system where they at least work 2/3 days a week at home minimalizing contact at the office.

Unfortunately, as any security guard will tell you, working from home is not an option. Remote and flexible working not only reduces office costs but with countless news stories advising that staff retention is on the up, morale is higher than ever and employees have found an improvement in work/life balance.

Towards the end of January, we have had our yearly ‘snow day’ on the weekend of 23/24th of January. We were still operational, responding to alarms, locking up buildings and completing our foot patrols. While some sites were difficult to get to, we used our director 4x4 to get to the difficult sites to complete our work for our customers.

Starting 2008, we’ve been providing protection and response services for residential and commercial properties in Coventry, Warwick and surrounding areas. Security Services offering Keyholding, Patrols, Locking and Unlocking in Coventry, Warwickshire, Stratford Upon Avon & Leamington Spa.

What Service do you provide and what are they?

Alarm Response : Alarm Response is a service put in place to respond to alarm activations at your business premises, while you rest easy at night.

Keyholding : Key Holding is, quite simply, a key holding service which works to increase security, save you time and money and give you (and your employees) peace of mind.

Mobile Patrols : Mobile patrols are randomly timed internal and external foot patrols put in place to help protect your business. A more cost-effective solution than a static security guard, mobile patrols can take place day and/or night, 365 days a year. We even cover empty properties.

Open and Lockups : Opening and locking up your building, making sure everything is safe and secure so your employees don’t have too.

How much is your service?

PatrolGuard Keyholding and alarm response service works out to be £1 per day or in simply terms £365 + VAT per annum per set of keys. There is a callout charge of £35.00 + VAT if we respond to an alarm. We also have an option for monthly direct debit if that helps. Please speak to us about any patrols and lock-ups you require.

Coventry and Warwickshire or anything within the CV postcode district. Even though from time to time we do take work outside of our area, it still has to be roughly 20 minutes for us to provide a good response time to comply with police guidelines.
