Keyholding and Alarm Response
Across Coventry, Warwickshire, Stratford Upon Avon & Leamington Spa
Q: Its 2am, the alarm at work has gone off! Do you really want you or your staff to deal with it?
A: Don't let them, let PatrolGuard do it!
What Is Keyholding and Alarm Response?
Keyholding and alarm response is a professional security service designed to protect your business premises 24/7. Instead of business owners or staff being disturbed in the middle of the night, a trained security guard responds immediately to alarm activations. This not only increases the security of your site but also saves you time, reduces risks to your employees, and provides complete peace of mind.
At PatrolGuard, our licensed team of security professionals are approved by the
Security Industry Authority (SIA). We ensure every call-out is handled quickly, safely, and in line with strict industry standards.
Why Does Your Business Need Keyholding and Alarm Response?
Including a professional keyholding and alarm response service as part of your security strategy is essential for safeguarding your business. Our team securely holds a spare set of your keys, stored in sealed, anonymous codes within 24-hour monitored key safes. These keys are only released through strict procedures to guarantee maximum security.
Without professional support, business owners or employees are left on-call to respond to alarms out of hours. This creates several problems:
- Disrupted work-life balance.
- Increased personal risk when attending potentially dangerous situations.
- Lost productivity the following day.
By using PatrolGuard’s trusted keyholding and alarm response service, you remove these risks completely. Our trained security guards, licensed by the Security Industry Authority, respond on your behalf. That means you can spend evenings with your family, relax without interruption, and know your property is being protected by experienced professionals.

If you are still using staff members who are on-call to deal with your office alarm, you may need to consider:
- Work/life balance; over weekends and on Bank/Public holidays
- Corporate Manslaughter Act – owners, Directors & Managers at risk
- Disturbed sleep at night
- Forced to leave spouse and children alone at home for extended periods
- Arranging an emergency child minder
- Are they a drink driving risk, how soon can they drive after having their last drink?
- Driving whilst tired, half asleep and rushing to respond at night
- Next day fatigue, ineffective in meetings, dangerous in charge of machines
- What happens when they take holiday or are off sick, who else can you rely on to cover their role?
- Health & safety of employees whilst on site, at night, alone
- Lone worker compliance, what’s your hourly check call system?
- Late for work the following morning or possibly an emergency day off
- It may cost you more, through extra pay or time off in lieu if staff are on-call
- They may be entering a potentially dangerous situation, with the risk of disturbing intruders
- Untrained and vulnerable staff, the work place often looks and feels very different at night…

Your building is secure
With PatrolGuard acting as your main key holder, one of our mobile patrol units will be quickly dispatched to your premises in the event of any alarm activation. We will find out why the alarm activated, and quickly resolve any issues. We will take responsibility for the building and ensure that it is secure, calling the Police if necessary. We will reset the alarm, and leave you a report for the morning.

Your staff are safe
No concerns about Director’s responsibilities (or liabilities); your staff are not in danger and their sleep is not interrupted. Our people are robust, intelligent and well-trained, and armed with common-sense. Our responders are monitored and tracked by our Duty Manager, who will send backup if necessary. One way or another, if there is a problem we will escalate it, until it is fixed.
