Privacy policy

This Privacy policy explains how PatrolGuard Limited may gather, hold, record or share personal data. At PatrolGuard we take the protection of our client’s data very seriously and therefore have invested in the Cyber Essentials certification scheme. This is aligned with the international standard for Information Security: ISO27001. We may update this policy from time to time to ensure we remain in keeping with current regulations.  If we make any changes to this policy, we will update the revision date found at the bottom of this policy.

Who are ‘we’?
This policy is for PatrolGuard Ltd (“Patrolguard”, “we”, “us”), we are a limited company by guarantee registered in England and Wales (06616355), our Registered Office is Unit 9 / 10 Scar Bank, Warwick, Warwickshire, England, CV34 5DB.
PatrolGuard is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as a data controller ZA827333

What information do we collect?
To be able to provide you with our services and support, we must process your personal data. Some of the personal information will be provided by you directly, as well as additional personal information that PatrolGuard collects.
The type of personal data we collect depends on the way you interact and use our services. For example, if PatrolGuard is being used to secure your personal property, we will require different information than if the service relates to business properties.

Using your personal information
Some of the personal information we use is essential to be able to provide our services and support. For example, when making an application for security services from PatrolGuard, contact details are essential to be able to communicate and progress an application.

How long we keep your information for

We will only keep your information for as long as necessary to perform our obligations and to fulfil the original processing purpose. Based on the legal basis we may need to keep some information for longer i.e., to comply with tax and accounting law and in some cases, we will anonymise your information so that it can no longer be associated with you by removing your personal identifying details from the system.
When establishing our Retention Schedule, we consider the legal basis, the sensitivity of the information, the type of information and once the retention period has ended how we deal with the information.

We and our trusted partners use cookies and other technologies in our related services, including when you visit our Site or access our services.

A "cookie" is a small piece of information that a website assigns to your device while you are viewing a website. Cookies are very helpful and can be used for various different purposes. We also use a tool called “Google Analytics” to collect information about your use of the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as how often users access the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, etc. We use the information we get from Google Analytics only to improve our Site and services. Google Analytics collects the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit sites, rather than your name or other identifying information. We do not combine the information collected through the use of Google Analytics with personally identifiable information. Google’s ability to use and share information collected by Google Analytics about your visits to this Site is restricted by the Google Analytics Terms of Use and the Google Privacy Policy.

Transfer of data outside of the EEA

Please note that some data recipients may be located outside the EEA. we will make sure that it is protected in the same way as if it was being used in the EEA, ensuring adequate safeguards are in place to provide an adequate level of data protection.
