How easy is it to sign up?

November 22, 2022

How easy is it to sign up to PatrolGuard? We often get asked how easy it is and when we do finalise everything we often get comments with 'oh is that it?'. Below is how simple it can be.....

If you’re looking to enlist the help of a professional security services provider, you’re in the right place!

PatrolGuard has been Operating and protecting businesses across Coventry and Warwickshire since 2008, working with clients from a wide range of industries. So what happens when you sign up for our services? How long does it take? We take a look at the journey from initial enquiry to handing over your keys….

What’s the first thing that will happen when I enquire?

When you enquire about our services, the first thing is a have an initial conversation with you about how we can help and what services you may benefit from. From there depending on the outcome of that conversation we send you an email with an official quotation or we will arrange a time, that suit you, to come to visit you at your site so you can understand the options available while answering any of your questions. From there we can provide an accurate quote.

What type of information do I need to provide to get a quote?

To prepare a quote we’ll need your full name and contact details, the name of the company and the full postal address. Additional information about what you are looking for and your email address is always handy. Please find here the contact form you need to fill out.

Will you need to visit my business to give me a quote?

It depends. We usually like to meet you in person plus you can find out that you can trust us with your keys. If we are going to work together, we always find it best to meet face-to-face.

How long will it take to get a quote?

From the initial contact, we can provide a quote in as little as an hour. if we meet at your site, a formal quote can take up to 2 working days to send after the meeting. However, usually, we do this on the same day.

What happens when I accept a quote?

Our Operations Manager, Gareth, will get in touch to arrange a convenient time and date for a site survey to put together the information we need to gain safe entry to your property and deal with the alarm. If it's patrol or lock-ups, then we would go over exactly what is needed to be done on-site so we can complete the job at hand. We will train our staff for your sites.

How quickly can you put services in place?

Once we’ve conducted the site survey, we can put services in place on the same day. As long as you have told your monitoring company we are the first keyholders, we can respond that very night.

How long will the contract be for?

The normal length of a key holding contract is 12 months, but we offer a bespoke service so we can offer a short-term/short-notice solution to suit any requirement or budget.

How often is the contract reviewed?

All contracts are reviewed on an annual basis. If your information has changed during the contract period, i.e. a new person has started and will be looking after security, we can update your details any time via telephone.

Do you respond to fire alarms? The answer is ‘yes’! As part of a key holding and response service, we’ll attend and deal with a fire alarm system activation. Do you respond to CCTV activations? Of course! If you want this set-up simply ask. We’ll attend and deal with CCTV activations as part of a key holding and response. What happens if my business is broken into? If we attend your business property and find that it has been broken into, we’ll contact the Police right away and see what we need to do to cure the site. If required, we’ll contact you and remain on site until you arrive or if you are happy with our suggested action, we will start putting it in place. Do you supply an incident report following an attendance? Yes, we will leave a written report of the activation to advise what happened, what we did on site, how we resolved it and if there is any further action to be taken. Can you randomly visit to check on my property during night-time hours or at the weekend to make sure it’s secure? Yes, we can arrange for that to happen. One of our guards can attend your property during night-time hours or at the weekend to act as a visible deterrent to anyone watching your property. We can do this as many times as you need and pay per visit. We can do external or internal patrols. Check windows, doors and do our foot patrols as many times as you like. It really depends on what your requirement are. Ready to receive your free, no-obligation quote? Visit our ‘ Quote Request ’ page or call us on 01926 760 000. We look forward to hearing from you!
