How to Stay Safe and Secure This Winter
February 9, 2021
Want to stay safe and secure this winter?

The weather hasn’t been kind since the start of the new year. Most mornings, frosts are getting thicker and the rain turns into snow. Towards the end of January, we have had our yearly ‘snow day’ on the weekend of 23/24th of January. We were still operational, responding to alarms, locking up buildings and completing our foot patrols. While some sites were difficult to get to, we used our director 4x4 to get to the difficult sites to complete our work for our customers.
While not every ‘snow day’ will impact your business, preparing for bad weather is something you should consider when planning for your business security. If your alarm is triggered during the night, who will respond? How comfortable are you – and any potential keyholders – with responding to your alarm when the weather takes a turn for the worse?
Don’t take the risk this winter
Darker, shorter days, an increased risk of ice and snow and much more challenging driving conditions are all factors of your alarm not being responded too if you respond to them yourselves. If you have key holding colleagues who are likely to be called out in the middle of the night, should they have to battle the elements for what could just be a false alarm?
How can we help?
Our key holding, mobile patrols and alarm response services work to keep your business secure and safe. When trusted with a set of your keys (coded anonymously and secured within our 24-hour key safes), we can provide rapid emergency response and patrol service, day or night – whatever the weather. Come rain or shine, hail or snow, our professional security officers respond to calls in just 12 minutes on average across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Our keyholding and alarm response service work out to be £1 per day. £365 + VAT per annum. Our call-out fees are £35 + VAT per event.
While using PatrolGuard, you can rest assured that your business security is in safe hands. We are committed to protecting your premises and assets and providing professional, effective, value for money security services to our customers.

Do you respond to fire alarms? The answer is ‘yes’! As part of a key holding and response service, we’ll attend and deal with a fire alarm system activation. Do you respond to CCTV activations? Of course! If you want this set-up simply ask. We’ll attend and deal with CCTV activations as part of a key holding and response. What happens if my business is broken into? If we attend your business property and find that it has been broken into, we’ll contact the Police right away and see what we need to do to cure the site. If required, we’ll contact you and remain on site until you arrive or if you are happy with our suggested action, we will start putting it in place. Do you supply an incident report following an attendance? Yes, we will leave a written report of the activation to advise what happened, what we did on site, how we resolved it and if there is any further action to be taken. Can you randomly visit to check on my property during night-time hours or at the weekend to make sure it’s secure? Yes, we can arrange for that to happen. One of our guards can attend your property during night-time hours or at the weekend to act as a visible deterrent to anyone watching your property. We can do this as many times as you need and pay per visit. We can do external or internal patrols. Check windows, doors and do our foot patrols as many times as you like. It really depends on what your requirement are. Ready to receive your free, no-obligation quote? Visit our ‘ Quote Request ’ page or call us on 01926 760 000. We look forward to hearing from you!
